Juventus are yet to sign a new centre-back after signing Parma’s Alberto Aquilani from the Italian champions.
Aquilani, who is on loan at Sampdoria, is expected to join Juventus on a free transfer in the summer.
However, the Bianconeri are expected to make a move for a defender as they try to strengthen their squad, with both Luka Modric and Kevin-Prince Boateng set to be sold this summer.
The 27-year-old Aquilini, who made his debut for Parma in 2015, was signed from AC Milan for £8.5 million in the 2014-15 season.
However, his contract expires this summer and he will be able to leave the Serie A champions.
Juventus would be happy to pay Aquilina a significant amount of money, but would want to see him prove his worth before signing him.
Aquila has made over 150 appearances for the Parma team and has been a key player for the club in recent years, having won the Serie B title in his first season in Italy.
