The Rutherford County Schools in New Jersey, which Trump has appointed to a top position, will likely have a new name this year, according to the New York Times.
The Rutherford School District will name its new campus after the president, according the paper, citing people familiar with the matter.
The name, which the district will likely use as part of the Trump brand, will be a combination of the word “Rutherford” and the words “Trump” and “School.”
Trump has long been criticized by conservatives for his handling of public schools, and has been vocal in his criticism of the system.
Last week, he tweeted a picture of himself at the Trump Tower campus and wrote, “The great thing about a new school is you can get free lunch!”
He later retweeted a post that said, “Rutgers is a great school.
I can’t wait to start in December.”
